Role Purpose:
- Driving sales
for Microsoft’s innovative Voice solutions to
Enterprise customers in EPG and CIAM through technical discussion
Key
Accountabilities:
- As Voice
Technical Sales Specialist (VTSP), you will drive the
technical selling process of Microsoft voice applications,
including
conferencing and Lync Voice to Microsoft’s largest customers.
In addition, you will work closely with voice specialized partners to
deliver key strategic voice deployments in the Voice space with high
customer satisfaction.
- You will act as
a technical and business resource to help customers
evaluate the business value of software-powered voice and drive
solution deployments. You will help customers understand the technical
details involved in deploying a full Microsoft UC solution, including
discussions about network topology and interoperability options with
legacy customer PBX’s. You will act as a subject matter
expert and evangelize Microsoft voice solutions both internally to
Microsoft sales teams and externally to customers and partners.
- The V-TSP will
help drive this quickly growing business by convincing
customers and partners in technical discussions that Microsoft is the
right enterprise player to solve their business problems by:
1. Assisting Microsoft sales teams to generate the excitement to fill
and accelerate the sales pipeline through customer workshops with deep
technical expertise, effective sales and presentation skills, and
superior customer focus.
2. Providing pre-sales technical support to enable customers and
partners to develop, deploy, and support UC solutions, including voice
workloads like conferencing, unified messaging, and Voice over IP.
3. Successfully driving the win rate within assigned UC/voice
opportunities through the delivery of technical sales engagements,
e.g., Architecture Design Sessions (ADSs), Proof of Concepts (POCs),
etc.
4. Developing partner engagements that build the voice application
opportunity pipeline and lead to deployments of voice and full UC
solutions.
5. Convincing competitive customers that Microsoft has a technically
superior solution, in addition to one that has greater business value.
6. Ensuring that self- readiness, and the sales readiness of other MS
field roles and partners, are developed and maintained for selling
Microsoft’s UC and voice solutions in competitive
environments.

- IM/Presence,
CDR, E-911, Voice/Fax and Unified Messaging) Enterprise Interaction
- Management
(EIM), Work Force Management, Sales Automation, Contact Centers
- (ACD, IVR, CRM),
Application Integration Services (TAPI, TSAPI, JTAPI, CSTA).
- Knowledge of
SS7, GRR303, H.320, H.323 and SIP protocols. Knowledge of TCP/IP
- Networking,
switches, routers and firewalls.
3) Personal
Attributes/Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong
negotiation, organizational, presentation, written, product demo and
verbal communication skills.
- Significant
experience delivering persuasive presentations to both technical and
business decision makers;
- Strong team
selling abilities, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong
